We all love family night…at least once we figure out what we’re watching. Arguments over who gets to choose what to watch and who controls the remote take the fun out of family night.

So, we put together a list of our favorite family night movies everyone can agree on…you don’t even need a remote to watch them!

  1. Jumanji: The Next Level
Why It’s Perfect for Family Night: For starters, Jumanji: The Next Level combines family game night with movie night. Follow as Martha, Fridge and Bethany reunite in this laugh-out-loud action comedy to rescue Spencer from the world’s most dangerous game. Just like nothing is as it seems in the gang’s personal lives as college freshmen, Jumanji has changed its rules – uncharted territory and unexplored obstacles abound in the unexpectedly fresh sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
  2. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Why It’s Perfect for Family Night: Based on the true story of Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod (Lloyd Vogel in the movie), A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is the type of movie we could all use to see and learn from, especially of late. It tells a powerful story of accepting and understanding. A cynical journalist and the kindest man in the world forge an unlikely friendship, in which Vogel learns about optimism, kindness and the importance of empathy from our favorite neighbor, Fred Rogers.
  3. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Why It’s Perfect for Family Night: The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is a classic family-friendly movie and a huge crowd-pleaser with something for everyone. From action-packed fight scenes to Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) glib comedic relief to not one but two romances, it’ll be sure to keep everyone entertained.
  4. 21 Jump Street
Why It’s Perfect for Family Night: Have teenagers or adult children, but still love having a weekly family night? Definitely go for 21 Jump Street – it’s relatable, and its comedy is better suited for more mature audiences. On the surface, 21 Jump Street is a somewhat corny tale of two low-grade cops who go undercover at a local high school in an attempt to thwart an elusive drug ring. What lies beneath, though, is an absolutely hysterical story of two adult best friends reliving some of the most awkward times of our lives (high school).
  5. Night at the Museum
Why It’s Perfect for Family Night: Night at the Museum is an older movie, but an absolute family classic. Think Toy Story, but at the Museum of Natural History. Larry (played by Ben Stiller) is hired as a security guard at the museum, only to discover that the exhibits come to life at night and wreak all sorts of havoc!
