Here Are Our Favorite Destinations Visited in Men in Kilts
There is a perfect date waiting for you on your favorite streaming service, the STARZ App. In the new docuseries, Men In Kilts, the two delightful Scottish actors Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish, who you probably already love from Outlander, explore their homeland of Scotland on a raucous road trip.
Even if you can’t actually visit their gorgeous destinations with them, the series is transportive, and makes daydreaming about the moors of the Scottish Highlands and the pubs of Edinburgh easy.
Here are some of our favorite destinations explored in Men in Kilts to show you what you have to look forward to:
The Kingdom of Fife
Home of the famous St. Andrews, Fife is said to be the “happiest place in Scotland,” according to the Scottish Herald. With great rolling his and beautiful historic castles, Fife looks like a storybook, and it is a pleasure to see Sam and Graham explore it.
The Mountains of Glencoe
It isn’t every day that a real destination looks straight out of Lord of the Rings, but the mountains of Glencoe are particularly magical. Be sure to watch their episode on the biggest screen in the house.
A Fishing Boat off the Harbour of Pittenweem
Two handsome men on a boat, no less? Sign me up! With the breeze in their curls and the salty water beneath them, Sam and Graham look born to be fishing off this small coastal city. Hold onto your Kilts!
Edinburgh’s Old Town
This show may spend a lot of time in the gorgeous countryside, but don’t worry– the men make time for some cosmopolitan outings. Cobblestone streets, colorful little hours and storefronts, and crisp cool pints of beer– what more could you ask for?
Queensferry Bridge
This long, stunning bridge is one of the most jaw dropping sights captured in the series. Whether day or night, lit up by lights or the sun, the Queensferry bridge is an architectural feat, and a classic landmark of Scotland. It was only fitting that the boys made a stop there.
Had enough fantasizing? See for yourself!
