Based on the true story of Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod (Lloyd Vogel in the movie), A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is the type of movie we could all use to see and learn from, especially of late. It tells a powerful story of accepting and understanding. A cynical journalist and the kindest man in the world forge an unlikely friendship, in which Junod learns about optimism, kindness and the importance of empathy from our favorite neighbor, Fred Rogers. 

Nominated for over 10 awards, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is a must-watch for everyone. Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys are a dynamic duo in their roles as Fred Rogers and Lloyd Vogel, respectively. More than the stellar acting, the nuanced screenplay and the brilliant directing, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood tells the timeless story of the need to be accepting, understanding and empathetic towards others and the constant strive to become better versions of ourselves.
