Catch Up on Power Before the Series Finale THIS SUNDAY (2/9/20!)

Power Series Finale Airs Sunday, 2/9/20!

Season 6B Recap

I’m internally crying as I write this because it means that Power (literally the best series ever) is almost over. The SERIES FINALE is this Sunday on February 9th. We’ll finally know for sure who shot Ghost (yes, I have my theories). So, if you’re someone who hasn’t been following along for the second part of Power Season 6, read on to get caught up to speed (but also you should really watch, you won’t be disappointed).

Season 6 Episode 11 Recap

This episode is all about Dre, one of Power’s most ruthless, slimiest characters (which is a feat in and of itself). The big reveals of this episode: Dre sees a news report on TV stating that Ghost is dead, Dre didn’t kill Ghost (he intended to, only to find out someone else already had), and Dre dies a quite fitting death (2 Bit and Spanky set Dre and his prison cell on fire with gasoline soaked rags).

Season 6 Episode 12 Recap

Episode 12 is all about Paz (Angela’s sister). The biggest reveal here is that Ghost really is dead. It wasn’t a Kanan-esque ploy like what we saw in an earlier season. As we know, Paz is convinced that Ghost killed her sister, and throughout this episode Paz tries to get everyone under the sun to incriminate or kill Ghost (Tasha, Saxe, Tommy, the list goes on). Paz takes Ghost’s gun (after her son briefly tries to take matters into his own hands) and confronts Ghost directly, but ultimately decides against killing him.

Season 6 Episode 13 Recap

We all know about Tommy and Ghost’s tumultuous relationship, so it’s not shocking that Tommy gets an episode all to himself. After showing Tommy killing Benny, most of the episode is focused on Tommy being hell-bent on killing Ghost. Yet, towards the end of the episode after finding out that Dre plans on killing Ghost and was responsible for the warehouse raid, Tommy asks Tariq to help him stop Dre. Tariq refuses, forsaking his father. The next scene ends with Tommy rushing in to find Ghost shot, weeping over his “brother” after they reconciled their differences, ruling out Tommy as Ghost’s shooter.

Season 6 Episode 14 Recap

Political rivals have been known to do some super shady things. Tate is no exception to that rule, especially when it seems that Ghost has foiled his political ambitions. Tate tries every play in the book to get revenge on Ghost  including telling Dre to kill Ghost, hiring hitmen to take Ghost out, agreeing to help Ramona and Saxe put Ghost away, etc. Ultimately, the hitmen get in a firefight with Tommy and Ghost at Truth, leaving one dead and the other to later confront Tate at Kamal’s house (Kamal shoots the hitman). Kamal, as an NYPD officer, takes Tate down to the station to write a statement about the shooting at which point news about Ghost’s death at Truth erupts. Tate didn’t shoot Ghost.

Season 6 Episode 15 Recap

This remains to be seen…Who do you think shot Ghost?
